Director of Facilities / Healthcare Facilities Director – Southern, Colorado
2 hours south of Pueblo, CO and Santa Fe, NM and 3 hours south of Colorado Springs, CO

This Director of Facilities position oversees critical infrastructure, environmental services, and plant operations that keep a hospital campus running smoothly. It’s an opportunity to lead a large multidisciplinary team while making a real impact in a rural healthcare community.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of hospital/acute care facilities management experience, including personnel management
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems
  • Experience with autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes, and hospital facility standards
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to diagnose and repair complex facility systems

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide leadership and oversight for Plant Operations, Maintenance, EVS, and Grounds
  • Supervise and develop a 45-person facilities team
  • Direct maintenance of utility systems including heat, steam, power, gas, and oxygen
  • Ensure preventative maintenance and operational standards for equipment and infrastructure
  • Maintain compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS, and local building/fire codes
  • Coordinate contractors, construction phases, and facility upgrades
  • Partner with hospital departments to assess operational needs and implement solutions
