Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Per Diem

Looking for a flexible locum opportunity? Our client is looking to credential 2-3 PMHNPs to work when the need arises (no immediate placement currently). You’ll practice independently with a community-focused behavioral health team providing psychiatric care in home and office based settings throughout the Bronx, helping adults access high-quality mental health services where they are most comfortable.
Why This Assignment
- Assignment Dates: Ongoing, as-needed coverage
- Schedule: Per Diem/Part-time, typically 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, 3 days per week, no call
- Compensation of $120/hour
- Setting: Patients’ homes & local office
- Patient Population: Adults
- Duties: Psychiatric evaluations, medication management and prescribing, treatment planning, and psychiatric crisis intervention
- Case Types: Severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar, etc.
- Local providers only
- EMR: Foothold Technology
- Travel: Mileage, car expenses
- Access to a Bronx office location for administrative work as needed
About You
- Be able to do the job as described
- MSN or higher degree from an accredited program, Board-certified PMHNP
- NYS Nurse Practitioner license
- 3–5 years of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner experience
- Comfortable working independently in community and home-based settings
- Experience conducting psychiatric evaluations, crisis assessments, and medication management
