Locum orthopedic surgery opportunity with our client in scenic Western New York. Join an experienced orthopedic team where you’ll play a key role in surgical care, inpatient management, and advanced orthopedic procedures while enjoying full travel support.
Why This Assignment
- Dates: ASAP – October 2026
- Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday in surgery (7:00 AM–5:00 PM); Wednesday clinic and inpatient rounding
- Potential Schedule Expansion: Client pursuing approval for an additional workday to create a 4×10 schedule
- First assist in orthopedic surgery with a highly skilled surgeon
- Manage inpatient rounding and orthopedic triage responsibilities
- Provide follow-up care for orthopedic clinic patients
- Cases include total joints, hip and knee procedures, hip fractures, trauma, and general orthopedics
- Work with advanced robotic technology utilizing the Stryker Mako system
- High degree of autonomy expected
- Competitive pay of $140–$145/hour
- Travel: Airfare, hotel, and rental car provided
About You
- Be able to do the job as described.
- MSN or Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- New York Nurse Practitioner license or New York Physician Assistant license
- Extensive orthopedic surgery first assist experience
- Ability to function independently in the operating room and inpatient setting
- Experience with joint replacement, fracture care, trauma, and general orthopedic procedures
