Area info: The city is home to Camp Lejeune and the New River Air Station and you can enjoy the natural beauty of the New River and its waterways. Plenty to do at any of the five parks located along Wilson Bay and the New River. There’s public access to the water, walking, hiking and bike trails. There are several beaches on the Crystal Coast that are 20-30 minutes away.

Opportunity Details:

• Schedule: 24-hour in-house call
• Daily Census: 14 patients
• Must be adept at NRP
• Attend high-risk births, including emergency c-sections
• Respond to neonatal RRT and codes
• Procedures: Medication administration, insertion of lines, intubation assistance
• Paid travel & lodging: Hotel, mileage

About You: MSN, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/NNP with 1+ years of experience, current/active NC license

Your Day:

• Adept at NRP- All of the responsibilities embedded in neonatology resuscitations.
• Attend high risk births including unplanned emergency c-sections.
• Admit newborns and care of newborns in house – do orders.
• Respond to neonatal RRT and codes.
• Medication administration, insertion of lines, assistance with intubation.
• Package baby for transport to another hospital.
• Stabilize babies.
